Meet the Craftsman: Jeremy Vanderlinde

Jeremy Vanderlinde and his partner Cheryl My interest in woodwork began in Batlow during the 70's, where I handcrafted timber toys and furniture. In the 80's I moved to the NSW Mid North Coast and started working with recycled timber, creating an impressive range of photo frames and mirrors. I successfully marketed these throughout NSW.

On one eventful occasion I set up a stall at the Brisbane Riverside markets, where a lady enquired if I could make a timber book. This was my initial inspiration for creating timber photo albums. In a small backyard shed at Lorne I created my original timber photo album from veneered timber. In 1998 when demand for them became apparent, I established Riverwood Craft.

By 2000 I was working long hours in my larger premises at Kew, to keep pace with increasing demand. When my partner Cheryl joined me she assisted me in production. For over a decade we have produced in excess of 10,000 albums, selling both nationally and internationally.

In 2002 we introduced laser engraving, enabling albums to be fully personalised for any occasion. This has proven to be especially popular as a wedding gift.

We take great pride in producing our quality handcrafted albums, and look forward to producing yours in the future.

Best wishes,
Jeremy and Cheryl
